Philomera:
The Dance I Never Saw
A true story about joy, family, sacrifice,
and the memories that live on.

Philomera was more than a resident at an elderly home. She was a woman of joy, strength, and quiet determination. Though blind and in her nineties, she still weeded in the banana garden, sang with excitement, and shared stories of her youthful days in Buganda.

Through her laughter, songs, and memories, she taught me that a person's life is never defined by their limitations, but by the love they give, the stories they carry, and the hope they inspire in others.

This is her story — a story of culture, dance, loss, and a legacy that continues to touch my life.
